Fridays in Stellenbosch are a feeling, especially in December. Golden light across vineyards, music drifting through the air, families gathering, friends reconnecting, and the whole town easing into that unmistakable weekend rhythm. With so many memorable experiences to choose from, Stellenbosch is the perfect place to begin your weekend and maybe even extend it.
Set in the heart of the Cape Winelands, Stellenbosch is the closest winelands escape to Cape Town, just 20 minutes from Cape Town International Airport and 40 minutes from the beating heart of the city. It is where every weekend has the potential to become something extraordinary.
Here is how to kick-start yours:

Boschendal Friday Market
Start your weekend slowly with good food and the company of people who matter. The beloved Boschendal Friday Night Market brings together live music, farm favourite food vendors, exciting new bites for little ones, and an unmistakably relaxed farm atmosphere.
Held every Friday from 17:00 to 21:00, it is the perfect way to unwind after a busy week.
Note: Tickets open on the Monday of the same week as the market, and due to high demand, walk-ins are subject to capacity. To keep it fair, ticket purchases are limited to 4 per email address, and each guest needs their own ticket. Secure yours early.
Live Music Under the Cavalli Sky
Golden hour on the terrace at Cavalli. A soft breeze through the vines. Live music sets the tone for summer.
Cavalli’s Sunset Sessions invites you to soak up warm company, great wine and food meant for sharing. It is the kind of evening where conversation flows easily and time seems to slow down.
